Lanning: "I didn't expect Oddworld to be around 15 years later"
Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee creator Lorne Lanning has been in the news quite a bit lately. After hurling an F-bomb at Electronic Arts, which provoked a snarky comeback from the publisher, Lanning revealed that he didn't think his Oddworld IP would have lasted this long, saying to VG247 that he didn’t expect his PSone classic to have the kind of impact it had. It just turned 15 last week.

EA has fought against claims the publisher tried to acquire Oddworld Inhabitants in the early 2000s. Spokesman Jeff Brown gave a stirring response to Lorne Lanning's previously published interview.

Oddworld Inhabitants founder Lorne Lanning told Electronic Arts in no uncertain terms he was not interested in selling his studio to Electronic Arts. In fact, he let them know in four words: "F--k you very much".
