Konami is apologizing for not releasing a patch for the Xbox 360 version of Silent Hill HD Collection by offering a free game to owners of the title, provided they kept their receipts.

Konami has announced that the PlayStation 3 patch for Silent Hill HD Collection is now live, the Xbox 360 patch has been cancelled "due to technical issues and resources."

The PlayStation 3 release of the Silent Hill HD Collection has been updated with a patch weighing in at 348MB. It lists six areas of improvement such as an improved framerate.
Voice synch is also "greatly improved" and missing sounds and music have been resolved. The studio has also tackled "fog density issues". There's no word on an Xbox 360 title update.

Konami has announced that patches are in the pipeline for both Silent Hill: Downpour and Silent Hill HD Collection on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The patches will generally correct frame rate and audio synch issues.
