THQ files for bankruptcy, assets bought by "strong financial partner" for $60m

Who saw this coming?! Well, probably most who'd been following the flagging financials of THQ. Bankruptcy has been filed for, but their assets have already been snapped up by the Clearlake Capital Group.

What does this mean?! Business as usual. No really, business as usual. THQ's four studios and games in development aren't stopping, and they've no intention of letting staff go.

THQ has announced some ominous news that the publisher will be delaying three of their highest profile games: South Park: The Stick of Truth, Company of Heroes 2, and Metro: Last Light.

Newly inaugurated THQ president Jason Rubin, co-founder of Naughty Dog, has given a little 'state of the union' address in an interview. He credits THQ for being here thanks to Saints Row.

Rubin has toured all THQ's projects except for Metro: Last Light, which is based in the Ukraine. Don't need huge budgets to survive. South Park RPG no blockbuster but gamers "excited".
