Konami has released the February PES 2014 data pack which includes all player transfers during the first month of 2014, including new kits, balls and boots. There are a bunch of classic strips for clubs too.

16 new boots and 5 new ball styles are part of the data pack, which is available for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of PES 2014. National strips have been updated as well.

2K Games "decided not to renew" MLB 2K for 2014, dev team moved to other IPs

While it was a surprise that 2K Games was suddenly releasing MLB 2K13 in March of last year, as many assumed the series benched, 2K has now decided it will be keeping that bench warm after all.

The publisher has "decided not to renew" the MBL 2K series for this year, with last year's instalment criticised for being too similar to MLB 2K12 with 'just an updated roster'.

EA Sports has finalised the cover for their upcoming MMA game, EA Sports UFC. Swedish UFC fighter Alexander "The Mauler" Gustafsson will be sharing the cover with Jon "Bones" Jones. Gustafsson was elected by a fan vote of which there were over 11 million votes.

Publisher 505 Games has announced the cancellation of Ashes Cricket 2013 from developer Australian developer Trickstar Games, and promises those who bought it full refunds for the disastrous title.

505 state the team failed to overcome the "unexpected challenges" from the game's chosen engine despite "multiple extensions", with all assurances from the devs "found to be misplaced."

Konami has released Data Pack 2 for Pro Evolution Soccer 2014, which not only updates the team rosters, but also adds 800 new faces, including Manchester United's Da Silva twins, Boca Juniors' Riquelme, Real Madrid's Isco and England midfielder, Jack Wilshere.

Konami will be releasing the Data Pack 2 DLC for PES 2014 later this month for free. It brings all the game's team rosters fully up-to-date and includes over 800 new player faces to improve its realism.

An 11 vs. 11 mode will also feature for online play, with in-game chat enhanced alongside gameplay tweaks. Online competitions and Master League Online competitions are in.

It's the end of an era as EA Sports will no longer be in partnership with pro golfer Tiger Woods as they drop his name from the PGA Tour golf game series. This move follows a "mutual decision" by both parties.

EA Sports "wish him continued success" as they call an end to 15 years of cover star Tiger Woods, which began with PGA Tour 99 back in 1998. This makes PGA Tour 14 his last.

Electronic Arts has announced that it has cancelled NCAA Football 15 and is "evaluating plans" for the entire college football brand. This is due to a series of class-action lawsuits against it and Collegiate Licensing Company that were settled today in court.

FIFA 14 is joining the leagues of titles getting 'day one' patch treatment as EA Sports target some instability that was found during the closed beta period. There are also fixes to Skill Games and Creation Centre.

The studio promises they're working on feedback received from the FIFA 14 demo and are in the process of including tweaks. EA are also investigating freezes.

Konami's Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 won't be getting a drop of the wet stuff as rain doesn't exist. PES community manager Adam Bhatti reveals the studio are giving sky tears a miss this year.

The reason is because they had to "overhaul the whole game" and didn't have time to squeeze it in comfortably. The absence of any Spanish stadium is down to "extremely aggressive" EA Sports.
