Spike VGA 2012: The Walking Dead wins Game of the Year
The Spike Videogame Awards highlighted Telltale Studios' episodic adventure game The Walking Dead: The Game, giving it the Game of the Year Award, as well as best Downloadable Game, Best Adaptation, Best Voice Actress (Melissa Hutchinson's role as Clementine), and Studio of the Year for Telltale itself.

EA Sports has released a new teaser trailer for the upcoming SSX reboot, claiming that "Something new is coming to the mountains of SSX this summer." Judging from the teaser, it seems to be online multiplayer, something that past SSX titles lacked.

Star Wars: The Old Republic has reportedly dropped 400K from the 1.7M subscribers the MMO had in February. This was revealed in Electronic Arts' annual financial report, which showed the publisher earned a net annual income of $76M. Last year, EA lost $276M.
Tricky-inspired DLC hits SSX on the 1st May

Electronic Arts has announced that some new downloadable content will be coming to SSX on the 1st May. The DLC will be inspired by the classic SSX games. The pack is called the SSX Mt. Eddie & Classic Characters Bundle Pack.
GAME's near collapse depresses UK market

With the near total extinction of specialist retailer GAME Group, the UK market took a decidedly large hit in trade during March. Sales of games were down to just 2.7 million.
That's a 34% drop from the same period last year which cleared 4.1 million. Overall Q1 2012 physical sales lost 30% compared to Q1 2011. GAME couldn't source new stock.
