New SSX releases January 2012

EA has confirmed that their new SSX title, previously subtitled Deadly Descents, will be arriving into the hands of snowboarding series fans in January 2012.

This time around players get a wingsuit to help overcome difficult terrain, and all-new physics should do away with invisible barriers. SSX will be present at E3 2011.

Electronic Arts has interestingly decided to rename their upcoming snowboarding game SSX: Deadly Descents to simply SSX.

Creative director Todd Batty for SSX: Deadly Descents has said the game still has about 15 months of development ahead of it, making it late 2012.

Details of the game have surfaced: We're a part of the SSX corporation in a story, there are 200-300 tracks over 9 peaks, multipliers and Elise return.

The recently announced SSX: Deadly Descent having just enjoyed a world premiere over the weekend at the Spike VGAs now has its website all updated.

EA reveal the story behind the new revamped SSX franchise teasing that our first goal is "to survive" and the second to "look good doing it." Defeat nature!
