Brace yourself for Force-related puns. The UK chart embraced the power of the motion side of gaming last week as LucasArts' Kinect Star Wars entered number one.

A long, long time the Star Wars game for Kinect was unveiled but that new hope soon diminished with fans striking back it was going nowhere, but the return of the hype couldn't be stopped.

The upcoming Kinect Star Wars includes some additional modes besides running around whooshing your lightsaber. It'll have the scantily clad Leia bopping away in Jabba's Palace.

In very similar styles to Dance Central, you match moves to the beat and characters on the screen. Some dancing gameplay was shown at the Xbox 10th anniversary in Amsterdam.

Microsoft has announced that the long-awaited Kinect title, Kinect Star Wars, will be landing on the 4th April. Along with the release of the game, the unique Kinect Star Wars Xbox 360 bundle featuring a C-3PO and R2-D2 modded console will also be available on shelves.

Kinect and Star Wars - remember that? The Kinect title announced long, long ago has been given the month April in the latest UK Argos catalogue. What does Microsoft say?

The corporate giant was less specific and said it was "currently dated for a Spring 2012 release." They also said there'll be more "to announce soon" about lightsabering with Kinect.

According to Microsoft, both Kinect Star Wars and the special Xbox 360 bundle featuring the Kinect lightsaber game have been delayed, with the game now moving into a 2012 release period.
