Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition marks "time to celebrate" next-gen, 'open' to PC version

Eidos Montreal are bringing Tomb Raider to Xbox One and PS4 next year with the Definitive Edition, which is 'more than just a facelift' as it brings significant rewrites to technical code and attention to detail.

Will PC fans of the new Tomb Raider see the fruits of this labour? It's "our time to celebrate this version" for next-gen, says executive producer Scot Amos, but it could.

Square Enix has confirmed that Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition is in development, and United Front is helping Crystal Dynamics finish it; United Front is currently working on Sleeping Dogs: Triad Wars.

Titanfall confirmed for VGX, "big surprises and news" from Respawn

Host Geoff Keighley for Spike VGX 2013 has confirmed that Respawn Entertainment's Titanfall will be present at next month's event. The PC and Xbox shooter will join "big surprises and news" from the studio.

Microsoft's Phil Spencer has already hinted that Remedy's Quantum Break might appear at VGX, and Square Enix seems to have something Tomb Raider related for fans.

Lara Croft: Reflections trademarked, the "next chapter" of Lara's development

Square Enix Europe was caught with its hand in the trademark cookie jar, and so has tentatively acknowledged Lara Croft: Reflections with a tease something crypt-raiding this way comes in early December.

Early next month is the annual Spike TV VGX awards where big name announcements take place. Crystal Dynamics' senior art director Brian Horton remarked they're "well financed".

Pratchett: "Not got the right" developer or pitch yet for more Discworld

Tomb Raider and Mirror's Edge scribe Rhianna Pratchett has said her father, Discworld series author Terry Pratchett, has been approached "now and again" for more Discworld adventures but he's "waiting to be impressed".

No development studio has come in and wowed him yet, as Rhianna's father is a "gamer himself so he has an idea what he'd like to see," she said; unsure if she'd take over.
