The Tony Hawk videogame franchise hit a nadir with the clumsy peripheral-laden Tony Hawk: Ride and Tony Hawk: Shred, but that hasn't deterred the skateboarding legend from posting on Twitter that he was going to make an announcement on Saturday.

Publisher Activision, aside from butchering their music genre studios, has also revealed there will be no new skateboarding title from them this calendar.
There are to be "no new music or skateboarding games" in 2011. The Tony Hawk franchise is still nursing its wounds from Ride and Shred's dismal entries.
