What has Square Enix got primed for August's Gamescom in Cologne, Germany? A leaked list reveals all, if it proves true. The MMO reboot Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn will be there.

Also making the rounds will be Hitman: Absolution, Tomb Raider, Sleeping Dogs, Final Fantasy VII, Quantum Conundrum and others. They've a "host of highly original content" to treat us with.

Sleeping Dogs rated CERO Z in Japan, will penalise civilian kills

Square Enix will be releasing Sleeping Dogs in Japan but it has been cut, with a few alterations made. It's rated CERO Z in the country, meaning it must be asked for at the counter.

Alternate camera angles are used in certain sexually themed moments, there is a penalty for harming civilians in certain missions, and an organs exposed scene was also tinkered with.

Australians won't have to wait for Sleeping Dogs

Since the R18+ rating for Australian games won't be in effect til the 1st January 2013, it was questionable if Sleeping Dogs and its intense violence would be able to make its 16th August release date in that country.

Square-Enix calls Activision "crazy" for giving up True Crime: Hong Kong

According to Square-Enix US president Mike Fischer, Activision was "crazy" for cancelling True Crime: Hong Kong, and allowing it to fall into Square-Enix's hands. At the time, Activision had been slashing budget costs.

Square Enix profitable thanks to Deus Ex: HR and Final Fantasy XIII-2

The accounts look good for Square Enix thanks to 2011's Deus Ex: Human Revolution and this year's Final Fantasy XIII-2, which helped bring in a profit of ¥6 billion. Last year lost ¥12 billion.

The figures were "favourable" thanks to those two "major titles" in the Square Enix line-up. No specifc sales numbers have been divulged for either release, but Deus Ex has at least shipped 2m.
