Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine fans are excited as Relic Entertainment has posted a tweet stating, "We have a big metal surprise coming to @SpaceMarine in January – Merry Christmas from Relic!", accompanied by an image of a Space Marine fighting what appears to be a Dreadnought.

London Games Conference doubts THQ's ability to survive going digital

Games Brief's Nicholas Lovell presented a session at the London Games Conference, where over 70 percent of 160 attendees voted THQ a 'zero' for surviving a digital transition.

Senior publishing figures were among those who voted. THQ's lack of must-have properties is the problem. Next week they release Volition's Saints Row: The Third.

Second Warhammer 40k: Space Marine DLC due December

THQ and Relic Entertainment have announced a second DLC for Warhammer 40k: Space Marine, and it adds to Exterminatus co-op with a new mode called Chaos Unleashed.

It lets fans play as a Chaos Space Marine fighting off Orks and Imperial Guard Forces. Also included are three new multiplayer maps, new boss rounds, and a new enemy unit.

THQ has announced that the free co-op DLC Exterminatus will be available on the Xbox Live Marketplace tomorrow "around 9am PST", which is 4pm GMT to us in Europe.

The four-player co-op treat is already out for PC and PS3 gamers. It adds two scenarios: Assault on Hab Center Andreas and Escape from Kalkys Facility. More DLC is planned.
