A Reddit user has discovered that Firaxis has mistakenly included both 720p and 1080p versions of the game's cinematic moments, but only the 720p versions are used by default.
Thanks to a little code adjustment though gamers can enjoy the higher resolution video renders. As it's discoverer pointed out, this inflates the game size needlessly for those downloading.

Firaxis Games' XCOM: Enemy Unknown officially launches in North American territories today for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. 2K Games say this revival is "staying true to what fans loved" of the original.

Entitled 'Our Last Hope', 2K wants our Earth patriotism swelling deep within our mighty gamer bosom. The trailer has plenty of teasing action as it gears up for release next week.
